Week 7 Partnership to Success Course

This week on the Partnership To Success course we are on the subject of advanced blogging.

John has shown us various different elements we can add to our blogs if we want to.

Below is a list of the various elements we have been shown.

  • Adding images
  • Adding videos
  • Adding content to header and footer
  • Adding banner ads to posts
  • Widgets
  • Legal disclaimers

The elements we add are totally of our own choosing so it is a case of our personal choice of what we wanted to add or not.

At the moment I have added some images and a legal disclaimer as I am quite happy with everything else as it is.

I may later use some of the other elements as and when I feel there is a need for them on my blog. The main thing here is we have been given some extra choices to use as and where we see fit to use them.

Regards

Robert Chenery

Week 3 Partnership To Success course

This week on Partnership To Success we had to block or unblock the ad categories in our Google Adsense account. What this does is lets us choose what type of ads we want or don’t want shown on our blogs or websites.

So as an example the content on my blog here at www.robertchenery.com is based around Internet marketing so I would want ads showing that relate to the content on my blog which is Internet Marketing and Business.

So I can restrict Google from showing ads about Dating or Dining Out and other non related topics. Read the rest of this entry

Week 1 Partnership To Success course

Ok this week is week one of the Partnership To Success course. I will take you through what we have learned so far. Some of the tutorials I had already done as I do have a little bit of background knowledge and already had some things in place before I started the Partnership To Success programme.

We were first taught how to research for a domain name that reflected who we are so ideally for me the best domain name is robertchenery.com fortunately I do already own this domain name so I didn’t need to undertake this task.

The next step was to register our domain name and webhosting with D9 hosting .We then had to set up an email account and test it to make sure everything was working ok. I again already had hosting and already had registered my domain name. Read the rest of this entry
